Troy and Skyla

A quick update on our 2 room niners.
You may have heard both Troy and Skyla had accidents last week, with both ending up at hospital. Troy had a special helicopter trip to Star Ship hospital in the weekend: He gave us all a scare, especially his family! However I'm pleased to say he is now home healing and has still got that cheeky grin.
Skyla fell in slippery conditions and broke her collar bone in spectacular style. She is at home recuperating too with mum.
I've missed their smiles and help around the class and we all in room 9 send our love and best wishes for a quick and full recovery.

Hello from room 9......home of the room niners

Hello everyone. Our class has been very busy these last few weeks settling back into school and welcoming Mr Rakels our student teacher who is with us for 4 weeks..
The birthdays are also still happening in a big way, with half the class now officially 6 and allowed on the 6 year old playground. Mrs McLaughlin has been busy checking all the reading groups and testing (6 year old nets) and is really happy with our results. All that holiday reading has really helped maintain and accelerate our levels with some children changing reading groups.
We have been working hard on updating Storyboards too so don't forget to check them out.

Some of our latest Class Awards people
Oskar and Eyjar
